Suspect screening and targeted analyses: Two complementary approaches to characterize human exposure to pesticides

چکیده
Characterizing human exposure to pesticides is challenging because their metabolites have a broad diversity of chemical structures. We aimed study the interest associating suspect screening and targeted analysis identify multiple pesticide pregnant women. Approximately 300 urinary samples collected during early pregnancy (France) were analyzed by UHPLC/HRMS using both approach multiresidue analysis. Sixty-eight selected according available data on agricultural practices analytical feasibility 435 known or putative added based literature. Compounds detected two approaches compared place residence was studied as determinant for illustrative purposes. Suspect resulted in characterization 28 metabolites, corresponding three fungicides (azoxystrobin, fenpropimorph, procymidone), herbicides (an arylphenoxypropionic acid derivative, chlorpropham, phenmedipham), one insecticide (carbofuran). The led identification pyrethroids, organophosphorus, fluazifop-P-butyl, chlorpyrifos >60% prochloraz, bromoxynil, diazinon, procymidone 10 50%. Both urban rural areas identified being determinants exposure, depending active substance. This combined strategy better characterizes mixtures. allows detection that are rarely not measured biomonitoring studies, mainly it conjugated phase II (azoxystrobin fenpropimorph). complements with highly polar low molecular-weight confirmation parent compound, quantification compounds which standards commercially may be synthesized (organophosphorous, fluazifop-P-butyl). In addition, we several never been described humans (fenpropimorph azoxystrobin), deserve candidates selection markers exposure.

Two complementary approaches to event - based control
Event-based control aims at reducing the communication effort within a control loop by closing the feedback loop only if an event indicates e.g. a substantial control error. This paper proposes two new methods for event-based control that conjointly guarantee ultimate boundedness of the event-based control loop. The global approach faces the problem of driving a system from its initial state in...
متن کاملBiomarkers of human exposure to pesticides.
For centuries, several hundred pesticides have been used to control insects. These pesticides differ greatly in their mode of action, uptake by the body, metabolism, elimination from the body, and toxicity to humans. Potential exposure from the environment can be estimated by environmental monitoring. Actual exposure (uptake) is measured by the biological monitoring of human tissues and body fl...
متن کاملExposure Assessment to Environmental Pollutants in Human Health Risk Assessment Studies; Overview on New Approaches
Background & objectives: Because of human exposure to various environmental risk factors during the lifetime, the actual exposure estimation has been considered as one of the most important challenges for researchers and decision makers. Considering the contribution of environmental risk factors in the burden of diseases, this study aimed to provide new approaches in exposure assessment filed b...
متن کاملNon-Targeted Analyses for Pesticides Using Deconvolution, Accurate Masses, and Databases – Screening and Confirmation
Technical innovations in crop protection have been a key component in the globalization of food production and distribution over the past several decades. The ease of access to foodstuffs from distant growing regions has depended, to a large extent, on the new pesticides that combat the historic foes of food sufficiency: fungi, insects, and weeds. Yet the same public that has come to expect and...
